The journey extends four decades to establish the Historical Museum of Campbell. In the early 1960s, local community leaders Jeanette Watson and the Campbell Country Woman’s Club took early steps to lobby for a museum and fundraising. As part of the Country Woman’s Club, the museum first opened its doors in January 1964. The museum’s position and stewardship have changed several times over the years. The museum has been housed in the first public building in Campbell, Firehouse #1 at 51 N., since 1983. Central avenue here via self-guided tours based around immersive exhibits, visitors can discover the city’s rich history. These exhibitions provide insight into everyday life over the past century in the Santa Clara Valley. In order to better understand life in the region throughout history and today, interactive, hands-on characteristics in each display area facilitate personal experiences with historical artifacts.
Ainsley House, 300 Grant St, Campbell, CA 95008, United States
Ainsley House is the Museum of Campbell’s Historic House. During the Arts and Crafts movement, the home was designed in the style of an English Tudor Cotswold cottage. The house built in 1925, was the third home of John Colpitts Ainsley and his wife Alcinda Ainsley, a local canning pioneer.
Originally situated on the corner of Hamilton and Johnson (now Bascom) Avenue in Campbell, the home was moved to its current location at 300 Grant Street in 1990, after being donated by the surviving members of the Ainsley family to the city of Campbell. The National Registrar of Historical Places (NRHP) listed the home and its carriage house in 2005.
The mission of the Campbell Historical Museum and Ainsley House is to interpret and preserve the history of the Campbell area in imaginative and meaningful ways, from its revolutionary origins to the setting of today’s 21st century, and to relate that history within the wider context of the Santa Clara Valley and the region.

The name Sorelle, Italian for Sisters, honors the close family connection of her own sisters, her mother and aunts, and her daughters, among the generations of women in her family. She uses original family recipes to create an entertaining menu of Italian favorites, including house-made pasta and sauces, with the help and encouragement of her husband and 3 daughters. In the 70’s, Francesca owned three restaurants and then decided to make a big career change and went to work for Hewlett Packard, where for 19 of her 34 year career she became the CEO’s Consumer Advocacy Manager.

In Campbell, John D. Morgan Park includes 32 acres of fields and grass with soccer, tennis, horseshoes and more areas. It has playing fields, named after a former police chief, where the younger set can be seen playing baseball or chasing a soccer ball in a pack around the field. Campbell Heritage Theatre is a convenient entertainment venue in the West Valley with a seating capacity of around 800. In the theater, the sound quality and visual lines are very good. Originally built in 1938 as the auditorium of the Campbell Union High School, it was renovated and reopened in 2004, including an elevator and outside wheelchair ramps and a box office, with many improvements. Convenient parking areas adjacent to the theater are open.

This is a church for couples, for singles, for young adults and adolescents, for grandparents and babies, for children from college and for children at heart. Single mothers, single fathers, empty-nests and students who are hungry. In our worship services, children are always welcome, but they also provide options for young families. A staffed nursery is available from 8:30am-12:30pm for infants and toddlers. Infants and infants can be checked in at the Welcome Center and taken to the nursery for the duration of worship as well as the hour of the Bible class from 10-11 am at any point in the morning.

St. Lucy Parish, 2350 S Winchester Blvd, Campbell, CA 95008, United States
On Third Street in Campbell, the Mission of Saint Martin Parish of San Jose was founded in 1914 and dedicated to Saint Lucy. The small Mission Church soon became insufficient, and a larger church on Rincon Avenue was established in 1929 and served as the parish church until 1957. This building now houses Campbell’s Orchard Community Church.
Archbishop Mitty founded Saint Lucy as a parish in 1947 and named its first pastor, Father Dennis Kennelly. Campbell, like the Catholic community, has continued to expand. Father Kennelly bought several acres of land on Winchester Boulevard to keep pace with this development, and undertook an expansion program. A school building was built on the new site in 1953 and the parish school opened the same year with 112 students in grades one, two and three, staffed by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. An unused part of the building was used to alleviate the crowded conditions at the Church on Rincon Avenue for Masses on Sunday.

Jack Fischer Park features a number of play facilities for children, including an interactive water feature, a “bee hive” hill with a walking path, wide open play areas, and restrooms. The special features of this park are particularly planned for young children. At the old elementary school, which used to occupy the site where the park now stands, the park received its name from the beloved principal. The park, on a first-come, first-served basis, has a limited number of picnic tables available. Given the proximity of its neighbours, barbecues, equipment for rental parties and large parties are not permitted in Fischer Park.

Campbell Water Tower, 90 S 1st St, Campbell, CA 95008, United States
Established in 1892, the Campbell Water Company was the first utility company in the city, providing fresh water for daily use and irrigation for residents and farmers. Originally, the site of the water tower housed a single small tank, later replaced by two tanks of wooden water, one holding 20,000 gallons and the other 40,000. In the 1906 earthquake, the tanks were damaged and suffered damage from a 1911 flood as well. The tower was equipped with a 75,000-gallon steel tank in 1928, which today stands there. “Campbell” is written in forest green on two sides of the salmon-colored tank, matching the trim of the roof and tower.

A unique community service complex is the Campbell Community Center. The site, which used to house the only high school in the city, was purchased in August 1985 by the City of Campbell from the Campbell Union High School District. Most of the recreation classes offered through the Recreation and Community Services Department of the city are located in the center.
